No soundbites appear in Sequence Editor
Mac OS 10.6.8
DP 6.03
Okay, I feel like a complete idiot asking this, but I've already spent a couple of hours in the manual's Sequence Editor chapter, and searching the Forums here. So please forgive me for asking something that probably has a very simple answer.
I created a sequence this summer in which dragging and dropping soundbites into the Sequence Editor worked fine. Now, however, when I open that file, I can't see the soundbites in the Sequence Editor. I can see track volumes, bite volumes, pans, pitches, etc. But, for some reason, the soundbites themselves don't show up. I _hear_ them, but can't see them. And when I try to drag and drop a bite into the SE (even in a new file), it just "flies" back to the Soundbites window.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Re: No soundbites appear in Sequence Editor
A few years ago I had a collaborator drive 90 miles to session. When he got here the friggin' view filter thing happened and we had to reschedule! Arrrr!
It's important you know why this happened. The find key command is usually cmd-f. In DP it calls up the view filter. The bottom right button on a dialogue box is usually the dismiss or ok. In the view window that button sets all view filters to off. Then closes the window.
Personally, I think it's a programmer's joke. Not too funny when it hits the uninformed.

Ah, that explains it! I remember now that this happened to me a few months ago and, somehow, I figured out that it was the View Filter. Today, however, it just completely eluded me. Thanks for clarifying.

You can delete the key in the commands window.
