Soundbite/Track Names

Post by danika »

I had several wav files that I wanted to import as tracks in DP8. But I wanted the Soundbite and Track names to be different, so I renamed the files before importing them. I imported the renamed files, and as expected all of the Soundbite and Track names were the same as the new file names--except one. For one file the Soundbite and Track name was the file name before renaming. I checked the Broadcast wav metadata for that file which contains nothing, so I don't know where that name is coming from. I also tried doing this in DP7.2 with the same result.

Have you tried duplicating the file, putting it in another HD, renaming it again, etc., and then try reimporting it?

It sounds as if something went corrupt during the file renaming. I suppose DP is just giving it a generic name to have something to call it...
