Can anyone tell me if DP8 can be installed on the same Mac as DP7?
My copy of 8 arrived today. I'm running pit music for a musical, curtain in 2 weeks. I'd like to give 8 a shot but would like to be able to switch back quickly if needed.
Sorry if this has been asked and answered. I searched but didn't find anything...
Thanks,
Dan

Yes and keep it so if you plan on running DP8 in 64 bit and have older projects with 32 bit plugs.

Most of us are using both versions on the same Macs, there's a few posts about some renamed files that you will need to replace in DP7 re:themes if you upgrade and then switch back to 7 but for most users no serious problems IMO
.Some users prefer DP8 in 64bit mode, such as myself but plugs and VI's that haven't made the 64bit transition will not be available.
Some users are having issues with DP8 32bit version and some are not, ymmv.
Some have decided to go back to 7.24 but overall I think DP8 is a great .0 release ,it will not destroy 7.24,you just need to rename a theme file if you go back.
If there's anything I missed I'm sure others will chime in.
I'm parked in DP8 64 in the 64bit Kernel & I feel like I'm not going back to DP7,I'm happy to wait for my 32bit laggers to catch up,come on UAD!!
