[Help me] Can't get sound from the Motu Ultralite MKIII

Post by Algeada »

Hello.

Since yesterday, can't get any sound from my Motu Ultralite MKIII (firmware 1.0)(Main outputs, Phones, etc.) I ''see them'' on a mini screen of motu pumping but no sound for the exterior.
I already try on my computer and on my mac, and the problem is the same.

The only way to get sound is on a DAW, FL Studio with Asio4All ON, reprodcing by the Motu. but on windows, MAC OS X system etc. or other progrems without asio4all, dont work anyway.

On audio preferences of MacOSx i get the message (in Portuguese): O PERIFERICO SELECIONADO NÃO DISPOE DE CONSTROLOS DE SAIDA
(in english is smoething like that: The soundcard selected doesn't have any outputs)(print screen attached)
.. is just like i dont have any outputs on Motu.

This problem started 2 days ago when I install the soundcard or my computer, and stoped work in both systems.
Please help me, I dont know what to do and I really need it. :( :(

I believe the mkIII is either firewire or USB so my experience with an mkIII may not help but, at some point my FireWire interface was just not being recognized by, I believe tiger osx. I tried many different things and actually concluded that my FireWire interface was gone. I'm not sure what happened but, once I upgraded to Lion I tried my Ultralite again and it worked. I don't know exactly what to tell you to try but anything that would delete the driver and allow a fresh install might help. Because you have the option of running firewire or USB maybe try switching from what you are using to the other option might be worth trying.
