Original Traveler firmware won't update

In a nutshell....I downloaded and ran the installer for original Traveler firmware version 1.07 in May 2011. That version of the installer worked fine. I have since learned that the firmware was revised (though still labeled 1.07). However, the installer for the latest firmware, dated August 2011, will not run. It gives feedback saying it cannot find any MOTU devices in update mode. (Yes, I followed the instructions and put my Traveler in firmware update mode beforehand.)

Can anyone suggest a likely explanation for why the May installer would work, while the August installer won't?

I have the original Traveler too, on update 1.07 of the firmware.

There is no such thing as there being different versions. 1.07 is just that - version 1.07. It has not been revised because if it had been, it would now be called 1.08.

If the latest 1.07 is what you currently have, forget about it all and just enjoy.

Well, the reason I ask is because someone in this forum said the firmware was updated in August.

Certainly, the installer seems to have been updated (the file is dated August 4, vs. the previous installer file dated May).
