Pro Tools/ Micro Express

Post by morderwerk »

I have the older-style micro express usb unit (w/ "M/W" on label) and pro tools 8 on Windows 7 x64, latest drivers and updates on everything.
The MIDI outputs are not working and are shown only as [ emulated ]
however, the inputs work fine.

What's going on?

TIA

Hey,

MOTU units need Pro Tools 9 or above.

Audio.
MIDI should should work with 8, as stated here: "MOTU audio interfaces can only be used in Pro Tools version 9 or later, as Pro Tools version 8 and earlier does not support third-party Core Audio or ASIO devices. MOTU MIDI interfaces can be used in any version of Pro Tools."
Thanks for the reply, though.

I just bought MicroLite and in my PT 9 M-Powered on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit all of the microlite MIDI Outs are [emulated] - not working!
Seems like AVID's problem, but I am trying to find help here, because I don't want to sell the MicroLite because of a SW issue.

I have installed the latest drivers from MOTU and also check the Out port with MIDI-OX - I've been able to send MIDI track to my instrument via the MIDI-OX player.

Thanks for any help.
