896 Mk3 quick mute of inputs?

I'm using a 896 Mk3 in my live setup (with Cuemix FX) and it sounds great! Four acoustic instruments with piezo pickups go into four separate channels, plus a couple of Echoplex digital Pro loopers and a TC electronics delay (through SPdif).It all works beautifully, except that I wish I could easily mute the channels of the instruments that are not in use. I wish the channel gain controls could be pushed for mute, like the main out pot. Any good ideas? :D

You could save different presets and recall them...
