Loop Lab, slicing, dicing problems

Post by darrell »

Hi all,

Just got M5v3, and am trying to decipher part of the manual. This is what I'm trying to do:

I have an audio file (WAV) loaded into M5 editor (living in part 1). It's original tempo is 96 bpm. I'd like to increase that in my DP sequence to 108, and I want it to be a loop. It looks to me that the Slice oscillator will not recognize a M5 loop, although the Sample oscillator does.

Anyway, Slice is like Recycle, isn't it? I can get my little slice bars to show up where I want them, but am unable to get the WAV file to play at my desired speed. I have sync to DP on (in 'position sync,' but nothing is happening...

Help?

The sample needs to be of the exact loop size
then you need to setup the right number of bar/beats so the slice oscillator can compute the right tempo.
