Templates?

Post by shuld »

Hello, I have a Bunch of songs that I want to put drums on and it's a real drag to keep manually inputting the channels. Kik, Snr, Oh's etc.. With audio inputs that correspond with my mic press, colors, drum auxes. I have templates for new sessions. Rhythm track temps, MIDI temps.
What I want to do is put my drum template into an already existing session. How is this done? I could not find this in the manual. It only mentions templates on start up sessions.
Your held would be appreciated.

I haven't tried this, but maybe rather than trying to get the template into a song, try getting the sequence from your songs into the template using the Load command. Open a new project with the template, then go to File>Load. This assumes your songs without drums are already saved as DP projects. If you are using the same template for all the songs, you could load a number of sequences into a single project.

My suggestion would be Clippings (I'm moving in on FM's territory). Once you get the drum tracks into a DP clipping window, it will take you five seconds to add those tracks to any sequence at any time. If the Bundles are matched, all you have to do is record enable them and you're good to go.
