Sound on Sound has a new page on their site dedicated to Digital Performer notes. The articles it links to are the last 100 articles from their Performer Notes column excluding the most recent 5 which are subscriber only.

At first I was hopeful that this might indicate recognition of DP or a change at SOS and an increased emphasis on DP. Then I tried the following URLs:
http://www.soundonsound.com/protools" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.soundonsound.com/cubase" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.soundonsound.com/logic" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And even the defacto freeware DAW that goes unmentioned here:
http://www.soundonsound.com/reaper" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This seems to indicate SOS is simply reorganizing their archives.
I let my subscription expire after the Performer notes dropped to about 4 times per year. Again, does anybody know when their LAST DP article came out?

The last article came out in July.... It was Master MIDI in the Graphic Editor

Thanks Rodger... if they increase their DP coverage above about once every three months, maybe I'll have to renew.

I dropped my subscription about a year ago, but remember that after some time, the articles are available free on line. Today, I was able to see articles from Sept 2011, only four months. I think the wait time before they become free has been shortened by quite a lot.

Yeah, unfortunately DP is woefully under represented in SOS. I love the magazine and feel like it is one of the only one (that I know of anyway) in the industry that is worth reading. To me it is what Mix used to be in the early 90's. I'm not sure I understand why DP is so neglected.
FYI:
Current edition has one on MachFive 3.
Oct. soft synth use
April on MIDI features
Feb on Aux Returns.
Dec '10 on changing the look/feel

SOS was my source of info on DP when I was looking to buy it, so it's too bad it doesn't serve that purpose any more. Now I get more out of this board and just reading the manual than I could get out of SOS. I read it for info on new stuff coming out, and for that purpose, if it's worth reading, it will be worth reading in four months.
