Re: Sound on Sound website link
At first I was hopeful that this might indicate recognition of DP or a change at SOS and an increased emphasis on DP. Then I tried the following URLs:amergin wrote:http://www.soundonsound.com/digitalperformer

And even the defacto freeware DAW that goes unmentioned here:

This seems to indicate SOS is simply reorganizing their archives.
I let my subscription expire after the Performer notes dropped to about 4 times per year. Again, does anybody know when their LAST DP article came out?

Re: Sound on Sound website link
Thanks Rodger... if they increase their DP coverage above about once every three months, maybe I'll have to renew.

Re: Sound on Sound website link
I dropped my subscription about a year ago, but remember that after some time, the articles are available free on line. Today, I was able to see articles from Sept 2011, only four months. I think the wait time before they become free has been shortened by quite a lot.

Re: Sound on Sound website link
Yeah, unfortunately DP is woefully under represented in SOS. I love the magazine and feel like it is one of the only one (that I know of anyway) in the industry that is worth reading. To me it is what Mix used to be in the early 90's. I'm not sure I understand why DP is so neglected.
FYI:
Current edition has one on MachFive 3.
Oct. soft synth use
April on MIDI features
Feb on Aux Returns.
Dec '10 on changing the look/feel

Re: Sound on Sound website link
SOS was my source of info on DP when I was looking to buy it, so it's too bad it doesn't serve that purpose any more. Now I get more out of this board and just reading the manual than I could get out of SOS. I read it for info on new stuff coming out, and for that purpose, if it's worth reading, it will be worth reading in four months.
