The only active topics are about the Mac output not being available as a attenuatable sound in Cue Mix. As far as I am concerned, that is it's only "fault."
Could some happy camper tell us about their positive experience. (Beta testers and MOTU employees need not apply.)
Anyone?
I have a bad feeling about this.

Re: Positive Audio Express Results
In all fairness, and this is where we disagree, I'm quite ok with the layout as it is. The "phones" knob, when working, proves to be sufficient.
Yes, that includes not being able to control the mac. Although it would be a nice bonus. A kill button too (Focusrite's point here, it seems) !
I've had a chance to mess around with the scope tools on my Mix returns and it's quite handy. This could also mean routing what you ear through soundflower and use it on for instance skype, without having to deprive yourself of the audio. I may use that.
Also, on the vain side, a big reason why I bought this interface was because of its looks. But all MOTU aficionados know it already.
Were it not for this annoying bug, I could be quite happy with the AE.
Since I had a chance to calm down, I'd say this will be a fine toy, provided some problems be resolved. I'd say wait.

Re: Positive Audio Express Results
Indeed. If I had a way around the Mac output issue I'd be plenty happy with it - but I cannot do without that feature that so many others do include in their products. If my Mac were dedicated to a mixing console and not forced into duty as my general workhorse, it would be fine. Then again, in that case I'd have a much more expensive interface. I have to stay within reason of what I need, but I am glad to hear the tools are useful. That was a big attraction for me in buying the thing in the first place. I so wanted it to work for me.

Does the UltraLite do that too ? The Mac volume thing I mean.
Re: Positive Audio Express Results
Oh yeah, I forgot. 124 samples buffer size and 3.85 ms in/out latency.
