Hey everyone,
Been digging around to find a solution for this but so far coming up short....
How does one use VIs in standalone mode with performer? I'm stuck at how to get MIDI messages from inside DP to talk to the VI. Perhaps trying to assign MIDI outputs the same way I would use a VI within DP isn't the way I'm supposed to be going.
If there's a page in the manual that I'm not finding that would be great too... I just want to utilize the rest of my RAM that's sitting unused whilst I get barraged by out of memory errors within DP.
Thanks

I'm not sure that you can talk directly to a standalone VI from DP.
Maybe if you set up your MIDI interface to connect the two it would work (in other words, treat your VI like an external MIDI sound module; output the MIDI data from DP to a given MIDI interface channel and set the VI to receive MIDI from the interface on the same channel?)
I suppose you could play a standalone VI live and capture the audio with DP though.
Hard to see why you would need this - if you are getting memory errors within DP, perhaps you have some other setup problem... Its a lot simpler dealing with VIs from within DP.

You can probably use the IAC Driver or DP's interapplication MIDI in the Setup menu. Bringing the Audio back to DP is another story. Bidule or VE Pro are probably your best options...
