I'm going to try to explain as clearly as I can my trouble.
Here is the quick "story"
I have a mk3 hybrid since 4 months but after 3 weeks the screen stop to work (LEDs Off) and a soft buzz appeared in the background. But the card's features were still OK (recording, listing, mixing with cubase 5).
So I sent it back to the seller (thomann).
They've returned it but despite the screen repaired:
-The card is unable to record / listen via USB or Firewire (which was possible before)
- Map poorly detected by the computer or not at all or very well (but do not work better anyway)
- The LED sample rate (44) under the meter signal flash/beat ( that did not previously when the card worked). Looks like the card and the computer no longer able to synchronize the sample rate.
- Firmware announced at the start (1.02) is not the same as that displayed on the screen update of the map ( 1.00): In fact, if your card works well can you confirm this information (difference between these two datas).
* I've got identical results with the ultralite on PC win7 64-bit(i7 860 + 8 GB of RAM) or mac book pro or win7 32-bit dual core ... no recognition.
* Use a 828 mkII on these computer (firewire or USB) and it works well:
I have recently returned from the card to Thommann and they told me no: " trouble with us! It works!".
But it persists for me and others computers I've tried. Despite reinstalling the drivers (install / update).
Finally I have the card since 4 months but she dropped me without a word after three weeks.
If somebody can help me. I can't say where is the problem: the card or the computer or laptop I'm using

What I suggest you do is contact the distributor for your region and have a word with them. The details are on the MOTU site. Here is a link.
