New Mac Pro 12 core.

Post by twistedtom »

I see they have a new Mac Pro out with 12 cores starting a $5,000.
That must be one powerful machine, I have not taxed mine yet so I do not know how many tracks and effects plus VI's I can run as all my projects have not pushed the cpu at all. You can get them with solid state drives.

Not sure what the tax in ME is, but in CA it's (depending on county and city) around 10%.

Sorry, couldn't resist, as you said you haven't taxed yours yet.

Post production folks with legit business filing with the IRS get a big tax break in L.A. We pay 3.5% as opposed to 9.5%. On a Basic 12 core at $5k, that's a savings of $300!

Nothing to sneeze at!

Damn it, I want one of those 12 cores. I'm such a slut.

You see you guys broke into talking about food, I will be eating fresh from the garden today.

By taxing I meant not working it very hard. We could go on about taxes but it may go in a direction James will not like. Can I say I feel I pay way more than my share?

It is hard to get good Italian in Oregon, there are a few places I would give OG a C+ on some of what they make but for the most part the best Italian food in Oregon is at my house.

I have to laugh at some of the OG commercials where the say they send their chefs to Italy to learn cooking. What I think actually happens OG sends people over there and whent hey come back are told: "Remember what you were taught over in Italy? Well, fuhgeddaboutit!" I've had stuff in a jar that tastes better (but then again I make my own pasta sauces from scratch like you Tom).
