MIDI control of tempo with Slider
Hi, i've figured out that i can get my mod wheel to remote control tempo of DP but it is not very accurate (not a very fine way of adjusting tempo... bit jumpy and the mod wheels full travel controls from 20bpm to 400bpm ! ) can anyone let me know if there's a way to make it more fluid and / or to limit the range of tempo to say between 50 and 200 bpm for the range of the mod wheel... Or is there a MIDI slider i could assign ? any help muchly appreciated ! .. cheers

Hey Laurence;
I'm not an expert on this, but you might want to look at building a custom console. I just flipped through that section of the manual (starts on page 153 in the Version 7 manual), and it should be possible to put together something that would work for you. Custom consoles give you a way to re-assign controllers on the fly, create master / slave controller setups and create new GUI based controllers for MIDI data. This might give you a way to scale the response of your mod wheel to limit the tempo range or give you a more precise way to control the tempos. Have a look, there is some neat stuff there...
Hope that helps you!
