Is anyone using this with DP?
If you are, do you know if you can lock it to DP and control DP while it is not the focused program? I would like the other program would stay focused, not swap to DP...
I know it will follow your focused program but I have seen some reference to locking some controls. I would like to lock the whole thing to DP while I am working in finale. At the moment I use a contour shuttle and exploit the that fact the USB driver switches apps. I hit play, it plays a key command that tells Quickeys to swap to DP, hit space bar then swap back to Finale. If I scroll the jog, it sends a command to quickeys to swap to DP, then the USB driver for the shuttle will go to the new focused program, DP, and I can keep scrolling as it sends a command to DP direct. It works great but there is lag with all the driver changing. I am trying to find an ergonomic solution that has no lag.

Re: Euphonics MC Transport
You can set the preference in DP to listen to the control surface in the background. I do this with an MC Mix and it works fine when DP is in the background.obmit wrote:Is anyone using this with DP?

Thanks for the info.
Re: Euphonics MC Transport
An update, and info for anyone else in the future.
You can lock any of the MC controllers to DP and it works in the background. The only catch is that it is only the things in the EuCon sub menu that will work. Transport is one of them so that works. Anything that is triggering a key command for will not work as they need the program to be in front. These items are determined by Motu and Euphonix. The number pad does not work in the background, it will still follow the top app, even if the driver is told to lock the entire surface.
I do have one issue and that is with the scroll resolution with the Jog wheel. I can not find where to set it, it jumps about 3 beats, not accurate for finding a spot. I wish it could be locked to bars or beats. You can do this with key commands but they only work when DP is in front............ The shuttle wheel can help, but it means doing 2 things.
The driver for this takes a bit of time to work out but I spoke to a guy from Euphonix and he was really helpful and I now understand how it all works.
