Hi all!
this is my first audio interface.
Here's my question:
I have a roland RSP550, which I want to use to use as an external FX.
I have routed the outputs 1 &2 from the Ultralite to the FX inputs.
The stereo outputs of the FX are connected to inputs 1 & 2 in the Ultralite. I have one instrument connected to analog input 6.
My monitors are connected to Mains 1&2.
However I don't understand I can get it to work (using CueMix).
Can anyone tell if this possible and how?
Thanks a lot!
I'd appreciate any help here....
I found a FAQ item on MOTU website on this but it didn't help me at all.
I still don't ho to configure it.
Kind regards,
Marco

Mix Busses if you're just using CueMix - basically stand-alone. Set the outputs for Mix Buss 2 to Out 1,2. Then bring up the input 6 fader on Mix Buss 2. That will setup the send side. Watch out for the loop on 1,2 in/outs on Mix Buss 2 - don't ever bring up the faders on Mix Buss 2 inputs 1 and 2. You're good on the return. DAW software better addresses the I/O of the unit.

You can use sends in your DAW. I'm not that familiar with Live, but in DP or PT you can the channel strip send to any physical output on your audio device to the outboard device and then create an Aux track (or audio) that has it's physical input as the signal coming back from the outboard device. No need to use CueMix, but you'll have latency issues when tracking if you want to monitor outboard effects and can't get your buffer low enough. Not an issue when mixing though.
I think a Live Return Track is the equivalent of other DAW Aux tracks.
