Hey everyone, it's my first post here. So, here's the thing...I'm mixing in Cubase using a digi 002, but I want to maximise the number of outputs I have to a summing box to 16. The digi 002's outputs are almost the same as my motu 828 MkII (for those unfamiliar): 8 analog outs, 8 digital outs via ADAT Optical, and 2 outs via SPDIF.
So here's the question: is it possible to take the 8 channels of ADAT from the digi, go into the ADAT In on the MOTU and somehow configure the motu to spit out 8 channels analog (using either a cuemix configuration or config on the 828 itself...and i'd prefer the latter, don't want more than one interface connected to my PC)?
I can't begin to tell you how much this would mean to me if I get this solved. Thanks!
Adat IN -> 8 analog OUTS...possible with 828 MkII?

Yes, it should work, and stand-alone at that! Sorry I can't tell you how, but a little poking around in the menues, or configuring it while connected to your PC, and you should be good to go. The Mk II has 4 stero buses.

Ok...that gives me some hope but, have u done it on another MOTU interface? maybe it's a similar procedure? How are you so sure, if u dont mind my asking?
