Hi. I'm using an UltraLite Hybrid running under Vista 64 with the latest MOTU install package 64fw-3.7.39083.
I've noticed that, on my system at least, the Cuemix metering is defective.
No matter how hot I drive the inputs (and mixes) the metering, both in the seperate meter tabs and the top master window never foes into the red when overdriven.
I thought at first there might be a limiter at work but there is not as I can see and hear clipping when I try to record and too hot signal.
It's not a fault in the LCD panel because the same meters do work and go into the red when appropriate on all output channels. Never on Input or mix channels.
I reported this to MOTU a month ago. They said they were lookking into it but I've heard nothing since.
Could other users be kind enough to run a simple test and report back how general this issue is please?
It's easy of course. Simply run an input signal you know is over hot (input meter or recording program). Does the meyering go into the red? Or does it reach the maximum in the blue area and stop dead.
Thx.

Re: CueMix Metering: Does it work?
Bump.
Guys. On the front page of this forum there are currently 10 posts from members with very low post counts asking specific questions on MOTU windows hardware which have gone totally unanswered.
This post asks a question any MOTU Cuemix user can answer with a maximum of 5 minutes work.
The forum is obviously at a low ebb with far more questioners than answerers. To make it work we need to stick together and pool our knowledge and experience. You get out what you put in. Maybe even have some fun along the way.
While you are waiting for someone to assist with your own problems why not help out others where you can?

Re: CueMix Metering: Does it work?
I received the following response from MOTU.
So it's official and there may be a fix at some time in the future. We've reproduced the symptom where the input clipping indicators don't light when they should, and we are investigating the issue. Any errors we find will likely be addressed by a future CueMix FX or driver update.
