latency settings 828 Mk3

Post by Moxey »

Hi

My system uses 828 Mk3 with Sonar 8.5 and win7 64-bit. I find when i drop the buffer size to get a mix latency i can live with that I get audio glitches, so I'm guessing I'm not setting all the things I should be... probably a buffer over-run of some kind.

Is there a guide somewhere about setting up the 828 with Sonar? What buffer settings need to match etc. Any other guides/advice on set up?

Plug ins I use include Cakewalk Rapture, AmpliTube 3, T-Racks 3

I know all systems are different but a simple walk through check/set this guide would be ideal.

Cheers

John

If you're using the Wave driver instead of ASIO, I've noticed that it's necessary to run the Wave Profiler whenever you change the buffer size in MOTU Audio Console. However, the ASIO driver consistently performs better than the Wave driver on my system, so I would recommend using that if you're not already.
