Monitoring Issues

For some reason I'm unable to turn off the hardware monitoring on my Motu Ultralite mk3. I hear it coming though regardless of whether or not i'm in cubase. I've tried disabling it by going into the CueMix FX panel and clicking on the lit 'Monitor' button for my Main 1-2 and Headphones outputs but this actually just makes it louder. Any ideas? Thanks...

Reset the interface to its factory default settings. That will mute all of the on-board mix bus outputs.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.
