3 questions RE: using Steven Slate drums in DP
I got everything downloaded and installed.
1. I'm having bad latency when 'playing' a kit in Kontakt 3 within DP. I lowered my buffer to 128. I also set the latency slider in Kontakt to it's lowest value (had to do that outside of DP cuz kontakt's options change when you open them within DP) Still lots of latency.
2. How do you audition the MIDI files that came with this 'no brainer' deal? I'm used to working with Stylus or Drumcore where the various included grooves are right there to audition, in tempo with the kit I've opened.
3. Finally, every time I explore the latency settings using DP "configure hardware driver", Kontakt has to reload the drum kit samples. Seems time consuming and odd to me. Is that normal for Kontakt?
Any help greatly appreciated! Kelly

I think I'm staying away from this no-brainer.
I don't even know why I got Breverb.
I have reverbs up the yin-yang.
But it's the whole thing of getting something for so super cheap!
Sometimes it works out and sometimes it's not worth it.

Stay away if you like. I am very happy with it. I use EZ player pro to play MIDI grooves and also th Kontakt behavior you describe happens with all Kontakt instruments if you reload the audio system by changing the buffer size.

As a result of buyin' the Slate drums, I also wound up buyin' EZ Player pro to audition all my MIDI grooves and I'm real glad I did. The stuff you can do w/ EZPP like separating kit pieces within a groove is pretty awesome. I kinda wish I would have had this a long time ago.
Also, I bought EZPP thru AudioMidi and save 10.00 Bucks.....

I just had some fun dragging Drumcore MIDI info into a track triggering the Steven Slate Zeppelin kit. All worked well and I like the sound of that kit! And the individual drum mixing capabilities (as opposed to say Stylus) are very nice. Liking the $20 deal I got!
