How might you change ...

note info coming into DP into Program Changes before the data hits the DP trk? Perhaps someone has designed a custom console to do this? Or what else could be done?

You can do it in DP using a Custom Console. Each Custom Console is track-specific. In other words, if you decide to apply it to a different track, you'll either need to change the setting or make a new one. Here is one I set up the way you'll need it. I used my Kurzweil 2600 as the source of the notes; you'll need to set that for whatever you are planning to use. Likewise, my "Track 1" is the destination (target) so you'll need to set that for the track in need of patch changes.

The rest is pretty self-explanatory. If you don't know whether your patch changes should be 0-based or 1-based, experiment and figure it out. 0 based means the first patch is zero, the 2nd patch is 1, 3rd is 2, ... , 128th patch is 127. 1-based means the first is 1, 2nd is 2, etc.

Creation of custom consoles hasn't always been the most stable of actions in DP, so I recommend saving after each move. Once you get them made, they're usually pretty stable.

awesome Shooshie. Many moons ago, we built a whole bunch of editors via custom consoles, but that was in DP 2or3. Having that screen shot of yours is tremendous!
