I am dying here!!! Just sold my G5 desktop and got a Macbook Pro to become portable. I installed DP6 and plugged in my 828MK2(firewire 400) to my Macbook Pro(firewire 800).
Ideal Settings:
Before the upgrade, my inputs read "analog stereo" and could select "1-2,3-4,5-6, & 7-8". My outputs all read "main outs 1-2".
New Settings:
Now both my input AND output columns read MOTU 1-2 and my only other selections are bus 1-2,3-4,5-6, etc.
Finally, the only way I am able to record anything in DP is involuntarily through the macbook pro mic.
My question:
What settings do I need in both MOTU DP6.03 and Macbook Pro, in order to have my ideal setting back?
PLEASE HELP!!!
MOTU 828MK2, Macbook Pro & Firewire 400 to 800?!?!?!

Setup menu > Configure Audio System > Configure Hardware Driver
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.

Thanks! I actually figured it out last night. I just had to download the drivers, resart my computer and configure in the mentioned above. Now, I'm having a problem with the MIDI. I have created the hardware in the MIDI, but the virtual cable are not connecting to my "soft" XT MIDI Timepiece.
