Plugin questions

Post by strikingtwice »

I know they're free, and i guess i'm being slightly lax about checking them out, but is anyone using the FreeG plugin and/or Blue Cat Audio's free bundle? What are you using them for? are they better than some of the built in fx? Thanks.

I use FreeG from time to time because there are a couple of things it does better than MOTU's Trim plug, but it ain't nothin' to write home about. It does the job.
I just recently downloaded Bluecat's free frequency analyzer (can't remember the name). If Bluecat's strategy is to offer a great piece of software free to get you interested in their plug-ins, well it's worked. This is a very nice plug. I'll be checking out Bluecat soon to see what else they have to offer.
