Selecting multiple channels in mixer view

Post by sprout »

Greetings Motunation, my very first new topic is a question:

Is there a way to select multiple channels in the mixer? I'd love to select several so I could use the audio assignments command to change the input or output of several at once. It's no problem in the tracks window, but I'm using quite a few VIs and effects in V-Racks on a film scoring project so can only get at them in the mixer.

Any thoughts?

For reasons beyond my reasoning, MOTU has chosen not to give us this feature in DP as of yet.

That's why I use so many aux tracks in my mixer.
If several tracks feed a *sub-group* aux track, changing their outputs is done thru a single operation.

good suggestion on the aux tracks in the mixer. I've been putting a ton of aux tracks into the V-rack to deal with multiple outputs, then sending them all in via an aux track in the mixer until I'm ready to track them as audio, to keep my tracks window a little less full in sequences that don't use them all. though folders can help with that...

and so the quest for the ultimate template/workflow continues.

I think it may have been Elmer Fudd expressing his consternation on being foiled by that wascally wabbit.
