repitching one note in a complete mix?

Hello,
Anyone ever successfully repitch one note within a mix of ONE instrument without effecting the others? Rumor has it such software exists... Anyone,.... anyone... (crickets...) :?
MacBook Pro FULL, 896HD, 828mkii, DP7... Just go to the web site and look at the pretty pictures ; )
