Novation Nocturn ?
I plan to get for christmas this control surface to adjust some buttons in Motu DP6 plugins or virtual instruments. Are there still problems or is everything OK ? Maybe are there better choices in this kind of budget ?

the nocturns not very good with DP, I got rid of mine all together, getting a used remotes sl zero or 25 will do SOOO!!! much more.

The nocturn works very well on it's own and in conjunction with the remote zero. You can use the Automap HUI mode and have mixer control, which actually is nice for level adjustments as they are endless encoders and always start at the right fader values when switching banks of 8. But MAS plugins do not work with Automap so you can't take control of any of the built-in plugins, but you can control AU, vst, etc. The advantage to this is that you can setup custom control maps for each plugin, and Automap and the controller automatically follow which ever plugin you are focused on. You can also set it up to send out MIDI cc's as well. All the other daws have good support for Automap and I wish this would happen with dp.
