Hey guys,
I have been reading on how I can use the second set of ADAT ins and out to access Cuemix's channel strips while doing a mix, and not just while recording. My question is, how do I need to set up Cubase so that I can adjust the channel settings in Cuemix while Cubase is running? I am using an 828mk3 with Cubase SX3. In my past experience, every time I have tried to change anything in Cuemix while Cubase is running, Cubase stops when I do. So I am just wondering if it's possible to make adjustments while Cubase is running.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Billy

Re: Using Cuemix's compressors while mixing in Cubase?
Hi,
Not sure where exactly, as I don't have Cuebase up on this machine, but in one of the cuebase devise settings there is an option called something like "Release ASIO drivers in background"
This option is most likley on at the moment, On by default I think!
What this does is disconnect Cuebase from the ASIO drivers (I.e no sound) when you make another other program the active in windows, such as bringing up the Cuemix FX window.
Switching this off allows Cuebase to continue working even when you minimise it's window (Or lose focus!)
Un-check the option box and you will find bringing up the cuemix window will not stop Cuebase.
Cheers

Right on, I'll give it a try and see what happens.

Ok, so I tried the release ASIO drivers but to no avail, just doesn't work, as soon as I bring the Cuemix screen up Cubase freezes.
Oh well.
Peace,
Billy
