Vintage Synth Repair Shop/Person In L.A. ? (Roland D-50)

Does anyone happen to know of an excellent shop or technician in the Los Angeles area who has worked on Roland D-50s before (hopefully recently) and knows them well?

I'm guessing that there's likely someone in here at motunation who would know better than almost anywhere else.


For any who are curious, my D-50 began to 'fade' last week as I used it to sample some favorite old patches. Over a period of about 3 days, the LCD display kept getting dimmer, and dimmer. Then, the LCD display went out completely and there was a faint scrambled sound instead of hearing a patch playing on the headphones and 1/4" outs.

I used a multi-tester on the power cable (you know those weird Roland two prong types) and it came out normal, so I know the proper voltage and current was entering the D-50. If it's a power supply issue, where on earth would someone find one of those? (same for many other vintage synths) I'm not in a huge hurry so I'm willing to thoroughly look for a D-50 expert before getting it done. Wish me luck.
