hi folks,
first of all i thank MOTU for making such nice audio soft- and hardware products like DP and your latest mkIII-audio interface series. and that´s what it´s about in this threat. i am really happy with my brand new traveler mkIII - after using my good old traveler for almost 3 years. but there´s one thing in the Cue Mix FX software that bothers me a little bit. what i really miss in CueMix FX is are adavnced routing capabilities as we can find it in the software/hardware products of some of MOTU´s compatitors, like RME, FOCUSRITE and METRIC HALO. what i would like to see in a one of the next versions of Cue Mix FX is a kind of routing matrix like we have it in DP´s bundle window so that i can (for instance) interchange audio signals between different audio applications that are running att he same time (not via ReWire but via hardware). another helpful thing is to re-record mixes thru the mkIII´s effects. i guess it can´t be that complicated to implement that feature. what do you think? i mean features like RTA, phase analysis, a waveform monitor etc. are pretty cool and very useful things to have but a routing matrix would really be the hit. don´t ya think? what´s your opinion about it?
thanx and best regards,

I agree. The current MkIII line's inability to EQ and/or Compress an input for monitoring purposes while recording the unaffected input simultaneously makes the new features of the interfaces less than exciting for me. Having to run a litepipe from ADAT OUT to ADAT IN to accomplish this is SUCH a kluge!

Re: Cue Mix FX - Signal Routing Matrix! When will we see it?
I agree.
Cuemix seems to be built around the anaolog desk paradigm, but many features that could be there seem missing.
LIKE:
The ability to mirror an input after the A/D and bring it into 2 channels.
The ability to create subgroups without sending out through the ADAT.
I am new to this but these seem like basic things to be able to do.
Is the architecture internally such that it can't be done?
