Motu 896 Problem - cuemix not found 896 device

Hi, ready sorry for my bad english, iam from Czech Republic.
I bought MOTU 896 from secondhand, look very proved and funcionally ok ! When i turn on, all LEDs flash. And LED panel indicator reacts to input signals.
I have windows XP 32bit, now i additional install SP3, AMD dual core 2600Mhz, 2GB Ram, motherboard gigabyte(

I install MOTU_Audio3.6.7.0 driver, try too 32fw-3.6.8.1410, pc every time found motu 896, and installing seems to be ok ! I can with Motu Audio Setup change samle rate and others in Motu Audio Setup. Motu reacts on Motu Audio Setup, but Motu CueMix doesn't work and write: "No Motu Audio Devices that support CueMixDSP found".
for example... in windows audio setting are motu analog input(1-8) and too output, MIDI. Cool edit find cues(1-8) and i can record every cue separately.
But without cueMix console is it bad.
Can you help me ? Thanx !!!

Hey Spodina,

If you have the MOTU 896 mk1, which is the original model, then it does not support Cuemix DSP. It will only allow a max of 2 channels of zero-latency hardware monitoring.

Hmm ok, if i have a motu 896 mk I, which of the program you recommend me ? Sorry for idiot questions, but i bought motu without any cdrom :/(.
And find some software mix, or program what can hardware monitoring. With cool edit i can only reccord without monitoring.

Since the 896 mk1 doesn't have cuemix DSP, or zero-latency hardware monitoring across all 8 channels you will need rely on software monitoring through the software. You mentioned that cool edit doesn't do software monitoring... I"m not sure if that's correct, but in any cause it's a really old piece of software so I would upgrade it anyway. There are many good options out there. Personally I use Cubase on a daily basis, however there are also a lot of happy Sonar users out there.
