I had a lot of hassle getting my gear to work fluently.
CPU load was very heavy in a lot of songs, using a couple of reverbs and compressors.
A funny thing happened:
I normally work at 44.1K/24bit, but recently I recorded on ADAT HD 48K 24bit
and tranferred it to waves for further mixing in Cubase (kept it same rates).
What seems to be the case? Cubase (Macbook / windows) runs much better and performance-meter is
not as restless as it was...
Anyone an idea? Is 48K more "native" to Motu or Cubase?
Is there less computing going on, working in 48K?
I can't think of any plausible reason...
Thanks, Charley
