Hello everyone,
I am the drummer of a band and we decided to start using pre recorded sequences for our live performance...after making some research about which program to use, DIGITAL PERFORMER seems like the best way to go.
However, we are struggling on deciding which computer to use?
-After some experience on live shows i can tell that bringing a really high tech, EXPENSIVE, brand new computer on stage and on the road doesnt seem like a very good idea.
-The computer will ONLY be used for live performances, so every other application will be cleaned out..
I have an old iBook G4 with
Mac OS X version 10.3.9
processor: 800MHZ PowerPC G4.
memory: 256 MB DDR SDRAM
Would this be good for any use at all? Should any upgrades be necessary?
I really appreciate your help!!! Thanks!

Re: trying to use old computer
Should be a decent setup with DP 4.61 and more RAM (1 GB would be good). It would be limited if you want to play VIs in realtime, but if you're just playing back pre-recorded audio tracks, it would probably handle it well enough.
"I don't see any method at all, sir."
