Bela D

Post by trevorallan »

I'm looking for celtic reeds and the Bela D anthology looks very good. However I'm not looking for yet another sample playback VI - that's why I bought Mach 5.

Anyone have anything encouraging to say about these Kontakt libraries' compatibility with Mach 5? Does it understand the keyswitching etc utilised by Bela D in their products?

Any feedback most welcome. Or any altyernative suggestions for these sounds...

No matter what any brochure says about 'seamless' compatibility with opening all formats, there definitely are seams. Many Kontakt libraries use extensive scripting to enhance performance aspects, Mach V doesn't read this info at all. Looking at that library, it seems that it includes scripting so you'll lose some control over the sounds. Keyswitches, however, generally translate 'seamlessly'.

Also, if the library is encrypted, all bets are off:
Can I use encrypted sound libraries in MachFive?
"I don't see any method at all, sir."
