Hi all,
I reinstalled Kontakt 2 Player after a crash on the HD, on a dual G5 running Tiger. The standalone version opens and works well, but DP will not see the plug-in. I had DP rescan all the plug-in, and still it won't show up. The NI Service Center indicates that the plug-in is active and does not require any upgrade. I do not know what else to do. Thanks for any advice.

I had to get K3 because of that problem... it has new sounds is $149... it may be worth it.

I can assure you if I had any answer I'd post something. It's baffling and makes no sense. Have you tried asking NI just what is going on? They might be more helpful. There's always the option of deleting it, repairing permissions and then running the installer again or something. As I said, if I had any really solid suggestions I would have piped up.musicarteca wrote:Anyone?

I sent an email to NI technical support. I am still waiting for an answer. The weirdest thing is that the standalone version is working fine. I can't figure out why the plug-in wouldn't

My stand alone K2 works also but not in DP 6

OK, so this is how it goes, the service center tells me that there is no need to upgrade my Kontakt plug-in, despite this I downloaded the last version 2.2.4 which is basically for intel macs (I have a G5). And the problem was solved, It works in DP 6.02. So here are my conclusions, they need to be corroborated by other users with different systems:
Kontakt Player v. 2.2.4. DP 6.02, Power PC= Works
Kontakt Player v. 2.2.4. DP 6.02, Mac Intel= Works
Kontakt Player 2 (previous versions), DP 5.13, Power PC= Works
Kontakt Player 2 (previous versions), DP 6.02, Power PC= Does not work (works standalone)

I have never had any successful encounters with NI tech support via email but via phone they are exceptional(USA).
