Can DP6 open DP5 files

Can DP6 open songs done in DP5, Im about to swap my 2nd HD, into my NEW SYSTEM with DP6 software on the MAIN HD,
I will use this 2nd HD to store my AUDIO.

But I wanted to know could I open up the DP5 seq/audio/etc in DP6

Yes, they open just fine.

The answer is "yes, but possibly with a catch". Some users -- I'm one of them -- have had issues opening projects initiated in 5 inside of 6. I don't think this happens to everybody, but I've opened DP 5 projects in 6 and experienced stuck notes with my VIs, problems that I haven't had with projects I just initiated inside of 6. Again, this doesn't seem to be universal, so you might be fine.

Thanks, I was worried, cause I thought I read somewhere were it was a problem.

Most of my stuff is in Audio format now, not MIDI.

I know now I can continue with past clients, yet move on to do new music using DP6

I've had a few problems with old projects having garbled audio, but the fix is simple. Open the old file, Save A Copy As (with duplicate audio checked), quit and re-open the new project. So far, it's worked every time for me.
