Recently, I started using the Ultralite Mk3 as my laptops interface. For MIDI, I have a Roland Sonic Cell (via USB). I have a solo gig, playing over backing parts, which I create as SMFs. I used to run the MOTU, the Sonic Cell, and other hardware sequencers into a small mixer to powered speakers.
As I am learning how to use the Ultralite, I tried running the Sonic Cell main outs into the Ultra, to make use of Cue Mix. I have each of the 16 channels in SC tweeked for the instruments, and it sounded pretty good into the
mixer,

To other users, is this because of converter quality, or Cue Mix (I only rolled-off low and high, with a very lite compression)? I'm hearing things in my songs that were masked before. Could I improve the songs even more by adding some other high-end converter box? Right now its all analog ins & outs,no SPIDF. Thumbs-up on a great product!
