Audio MIDI Setup Crashing

Post by wvmusic »

UltraLite

Whenever I try to make any changes to the MIDI side of Audio MIDI Setup it crashes. I've removed the file from Preferences and the problem continues. Anyone had this problem before, if so how was it resolved?

Thanks

Before deleting preferences, you should also delete the current setup. If that is corrupted, quitting the program will simply save the faulty setup and probably corrupt the plist again as well.

Open A/M setup. Delete the current setups. Delete the plist (the OS will not let you empty the trash until you quit the A/M setup as the plist is still "in use.")

Quit A/M setup. EMpty the trash. There should be no current setup when you restart A/M setup. Create a new setup. A new plist will be created and your problems should go away.

It wouldn't hurt to repair permissions at that point, but probably wouldn't make a difference if you did or not.

Thank you! I'll give it a shot.
