when i open an old DP5 session in DP6, i can record.
when i start a new DP6 session, the audio files are greyed out and my audio files folder stays empty. i use a MOTU ultralite and have OSX Tiger.
i can import audio without a problem.

noone has a clue?
so what happens is: i'm in DP 6.02 on tiger... i make a new session... i record enable a track, and start recording. the audio is greyed out (i see the soundbite but not the waveform) and my audio files folder is still empty...

I'd call MOTU on this one. Do you normal maintenance stuff (repair permissions, etc.) Trash the preference files. Even reinstall DP.

This happened to me in DP 4.12 on 10.3
It was very bad. I had to reimage my machine entirely and reload all files from backup. Luckily, I had done a full backup recently, so my data loss was close to zero.
Still, it left me very troubled and in doubt as to the stability of my platform.

no problem anymore after rebooting the computer.
