Multiple MIDI Interfaces

Post by edomotu »

Hello!
I really need your help!
I have a MIDI Express 128; I added a Micro Lite: everything run smooth, all sofware I use (Cubase, Live) see both interfaces with all their ports. I wanted to add a second Micro Lite so I bought one and there is no way to let my computer see all three interfaces correctly. I always get only 3 MIDI ports for one of the Micro Lites. Sometimes I see all 10 ports of the Micro Lites but only the first 4 of the MIDI Express 128. I tried to move the position among the USB ports on my compuer, I changed the cables, used an USB Hub... No way! I always get 1 Micro Lite with just 3 ports or (far more rarely) the MIDI Express 128 with just 4 ports.
Any hint?
Thank you so much for your help!

MIDI-OX didn't help. If I understood the sense of this app, it's an utility to monitor and connect the available MIDI ports. The problem is that my ports are not available (Please see my OP for details).
Opening MIDI-OX after having connected the second Micro Lite shows me just all MIDI Ins (5) but only 1 MIDI Out. Probably reconnecting again and again I could get up to 3 Outputs out of the 5 ports of the second Micro Lite. But then they would disappear after the next restart.
My experience so far: my problem is independent on:
1) Which Micro Lite I am using (my Micro Lites are OK, not broken);
2) Which USB port I am using (I tried all possible orders and combinations);
3) Bad USB cables (I tried at least 10 different cables).
Who has an hint for me?

Thank you!

EDIT:

I have problems only with the outputs, the inputs are displayed correctly:
MIDI Express 128: 8 IN/8 OUT
Micro Lite (1): 5 IN/5 OUT
Micro Lite (2): 5 IN/1-3 OUT
