Installed as per instructions, launched DP 6.02, all routings , track names, and most plugins GONE. Uninstalled DP 6.02 and re-installed, launched standard DP 6.02 THE SAME. Maybe my mistake but watch out ! I now have a non functioning DP !!!

Re-download the installer from MOTU and run it again. Also, it should go without saying, but use "Duplicate File" in the Finder to make a backup copy of the DP application before you try to install one of these.

Blushes of embarasment, I didn´t do it :-( I had the 6.02 installer saved and ran it (after uninstalling) the rest is history. Will try all the usual things up to and including going back to 6.00 if it proves necessary.

Ain't no big. All you have to do is just download the 6.02 installer from MOTU's site again and run it and it will install a new version of the 6.02 application and that's all you need to do. Then just remember to make a copy for safe keeping before installing these mods. I have a mixing board mod that I created that I install on my copy of DP every time there's a new update, so I've gotten used to remembering to do this in case I ever want to go back to the stock look.

Personally, I don't mind the look of DP 6.02. The ONLY thing I have issues with is the Mixing Board.

WHat are your issues with the mixing board James? (if you don't mind telling us that is)
Creativity, some digital stuff and analogue things that go boom. crackle, bits of wood with strings on them that go twang

Thanks James, it did the trick, maybe the uninstalling was the mistake. I had the original .zip file saved so unless Motu have implemented some kind of "one time only" thing I think it would have
worked had I not un-installed.
I think I will try to be patient until iPerformer posts his update, I love that GUI.

Keeping in mind it's all subjective... my main objection is that the mixing board feels VERY cluttered. Too much going on in exchange for some 3-D realism that serves no purpose. When I was viewing a lot of tracks at once, I found it very cluttered and it made me feel palpably tense. The best example I can give is the way the plug-in inserts appear. They are have hard 1 pixel lines around them and those little triangles and they appear by the HUNDREDS on the average mixing board. Unless you squint and look closely at which of those inserts have TEXT in them, it's hard to find a plug-in quickly.

See this thread:

http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... =1&t=31306

I explain why I created this mod for myself and there's a before and after picture of a mixing board using my mod. I think it makes the case for me. I did away with those small triangles in inserts altogether and used light grey shading for empty inserts and honestly it is such a tremendous relief. I also did away with the 3-D exotic faders and went to a simple white fader cap with a fader slot. I find I can much more quickly get a feel for the levels and it's easier to see everything. Especially, again, to have an immediate sense of how many plug-ins you are using in a project and where they are.
