DP6 Spectrasonics Workaround

Post by thinkof1 »

I've found a workaround to get Trilogy and Atmosphere running fine on DP6. The 6.0.2 update didn't change anything, by the way. You need the VST installer for Trilogy and Atmosphere, and Fxpansion's VST to AU adapter ($49).
All you have to do is use the VST to AU adapter to create AU's using the VST plugin files. Throw out or disable the regular AU's since they no longer work in DP6. Also, move your .dat files to the VST plugins folder or create new aliases there. Somehow the converted VST's work fine in DP6. Enjoy.

Hi thinkof1. Is this workaround for intel Macs running Leopard?...
Thanks.

Hey thinkof1, thanks for the info. I went ahead and purchased the Audio Ease VST Wrapper and it works great with Trilogy. Stylus and Omnisphere are obviously working great as is. Trilogy was holding me back. Looking forward to Trillian in June!

How did you get this to work? I just get a blank box when I instantiate Trilogy. Thanks.

I just used Trilogy last night with the intel wrapper thingy in DP 6.02 with no issues. But, all I did was load up a sound and then bussed it to a mono audio track and printed it so I'm sure it's stiff unstable. I haven't tried the Atmosphere wrapper since I got Omnisphere.
