Pops, Clicks over 44.1 khz!
Like the title says, im getting pops and clicks at anything over 44.1 also audio seems to be pitched differently when listening over 44.1-like when im on youtube.
im using the motu 24 i/o with ableton. most my tracks are at around 20% cpu, if that has anything to do with it. im running two hard drives with amd phenom x4.
any suggestions? i would really like to have my sample rates higher than 44.1.
thanks.

You cant change sample rates in the middle of a project, only at the beginning. if you recorded at 44.1 then played it back at 48 or 96 it will sound high pitched because its actually being played back faster 96 samples is twice as much data so it has to play it twice as fast.

What are your specs? tell everything, Motherboard, Ram, processor, firewire card, OS, EVERYTHING!
Also your sample buffer settings in your motu audio consule, lower settings like 128 or 96 will give you lower latency but may cause audio glitches(pops and squeals) higher settings like 768 or 1024 will give you better audio playback but much higher and more noticeable latency. So you got to find your happy medium.

Alright, here it goes.
Motherboard- MSI k9A2 Platinum
Ram- 2 gig Corsair dual channel 800 mhz
Cpu- AMD Phenomx4 Black
Interface- Motu 24 i/o with pci card
Latency- usually keep this at 512
im still having no luck, is a new clock in order here?

If your only running one digital device an external clock may not help, check out http://www.lavryengineering.com/index_flash.html for more on this.
Also are you running xp or vista. Sweetwater.com has support doc on tweaking your system i would check this out and make sure your PC is giving all it can.

These are for XP

Thats for VISTA
Do the tweaks and mess around with the buffer sizes and get back to us.
