Hi All. Just wanted to pass this on to everyone.

Mine has worked flawlessly in DP 6, and with uniwire this unit really adds functionality.
Anyways just wanted to pass that along.

Re: Muse Research Receptor
Yeah, that news was first posted over a week ago, probably at KVR, and it's interesting that they aren't moving even at that markdown.
The problem is that they haven't been able to keep up with the fast pace of memory and CPU updates by Apple and others.
Obviously Receptors have their own merits (stability, gigging, etc.), but bang-for-buck, iMacs are a way better deal.
I actually was considering grabbing one of these last week, until I did the math. Maybe at another 50% markdown I'd get one.
Of course, if you want to use soft synths and sample libraries on stage, the Muse Receptor is still probably the best solution.
It's a harder sell in the studio, where we still need a powerful main computer to run our main apps, and unsupported plug-ins.

Re: Muse Research Receptor
Dunno anything much about this from SM-Pro Audio.
FWIW, I have one of their mic pres (well, I sorta have it, it has gone back to them for warranty repair) and I like that, and the head of the company, (Danny) always emails me straight away when I have a question. Dunno when they are going to release it tho...

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Re: Muse Research Receptor
The initial specs from SM-Pro are not very exciting, in that it seems to be the equivalent CPU and memory wise of an early G3 iMac
.
The proof will be in the pudding though. Just read the specs carefully once available, as it sounds like it won't be able to host the big guns.
