One that doesn't put a spell on you or your mixes :D sorry couldn't resist.

The best software Mastering limiter I have used is the massey Limiter but you need Pro tools :(

I just DLed the new sonalksis mastering suite and after a couple of uses it's pretty good and the dither function is very very good IMHO.

I think you'd be better off with Wizard or even Sorcerer Software.

PSP Master Comp to Sonalksis Stereo Tools to PSP Neon HD to PSP Xenon. As I have said in other threads, I am really loving the PSP Xenon. I actually prefer Warlock software for mastering.
Peace!

I am late to the mastering plugs party......
I just purchased ozone 3 (after using nothing but stock plugs and powercore stock/master x5), it must be a pink cloud but it seems like even the "pre-sets" of ozone sound better than any of my previous attempts......
Macbook pro, 3 gigs of ram, osx 10.62, Dp 5.13, Live 8.1.2, Reason 4, Tc powercore Virus, Albino 3.02, proper ergonomic sitting posture, plenty of coffee (french press only with a pinch of cardamon added)
My dp inspired music.....

Some successful attempts with DP stock plugins, and a few with Waves, then came Ozone.
It has been my favored (pseudo)mastering set since.

As everyone already knows here, any mastering suite is a very deep tool.
Ozone suite deserves some time to bring your mixes where you want them to be.
IMHO, the results can be great.

I know that we're all trying everything we can to improve our skills in mastering and engineering, but, to resort to black magic and witchcraft...that just seems a little extreme.

Same here.

When I'm happy with the mix, and I pseudo-master my stuff, I'm really happy with Waves, which BTW, reminds me I must pay for my WUP to use it with DP7...
Mac Mini Server i7 2.66 GHs/16 GB RAM / OSX 10.14 / DP 9.52

Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

I was using x5 on the TC powercore but TC had a 50% sale in December so I finally bought MD3. This is fantastic.
