Adjusting Input volume

Post by ethernetguru »

Hello,
We're using two 2408 MkII's, through a 324 PCI card, to record our worship services as a multi-track.
We're patching the Direct Outs of our live sound mixer to the Inputs of the 2408's. Since our Direct Outs are Pre-Fader, how can we adjust the volume level of those inputs on the 2408?

Is this possible with Cuemix? If so, I sure haven't gotten that to work yet! Cuemix seems to do nothing.

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer a confused MOTU user!

324 card does not support CueMix software as I know :(
And as you can read om page 92 of 2408mk2 manual
you can freely change any individual input from + 4 to -10 dB within 2408 Mk2 HW.
Try to adjust levels with GAIN (trim) on mixer.
Good luck!

ah, I see!

However, if I upgraded to the 424, then I could use Cuemix to do what I wanted? To control the input volume?

I know I can choose the input levels with switches, and I know I can adjust the gain, but I need to be able to control it separately from those.

Didn't you try yet ? :)
Of course , you can adjust ALL levels that pass in/out your gear via cuemix.
