If you own all three, Atmosphere, Trilogy, and Stylus RMX, your upgrade price is only $150!!! Normally it is $250. This company is da bomb!

Hey Guys ! I saw the arpegiation video and I am wondering if the drag and dropping of MIDI stuff from stylus to omnisphere is the arpegiator would work with plain MIDI file or some other software ?

I own all three and I scored the Omni "VIP upgrade" for the $149.00 - Spectrasonics is by far the best example of how to embrace your users (not to mention that everything Eric touches seems to be the best sounding thing ever created...he had me at the D-50, JD-800 etc.)

Yeah, Waves could learn a thing or two about embracing their users! At least they lowered their WUP.

Does anyone know if there are any advantages (price-wise) to purchasing Atmosphere and then doing the upgrade, or if it's even too late to qualify?

I figure it also serves as an insurance policy in case of bugs, incompatibilities, etc.

I was also psyched about the $149 price tag for folks that owned all three libs. Now for my question, do you need to have Atmosphere installed to run Omnisphere? I have already ordered it, but got a new intel machine recently and have not messed with the Atmosphere wrapper.

Peace

Omnisphere is a totally new VI that has the original Atmosphere library plus another 40gig or so of NEW stuff.
Mine arrives tomorrow!

From what I've gleaned from the Spectrasonics site is no, you do not need Atmosphere to run Omnisphere. Kind of like the Original Stylus rolled into Stylus RMX, Atmosphere has been rolled INTO Omnisphere. That's a lot of spheres... I think it's 50GB o something like that.

And I guess davelee and I answered your question at the same time!

No...they are completely independent and do not know each other even exists on the machine.

And for those who do have Atmosphere on a PPC machine...you can run it separately too if you wish (for older projects and things).

Brian Ralston

Hi Brian!

Too funny, you answered both my questions tonight. I also posted on Northernsounds about the 750 Gig Hard drive (or lack thereof). You are a busy and bright fellow! Thanks for all the help on both forums. You deserve extra credit!

Peace
