Strange issue with several Kontakt 3 samples in M5...

Hi,
not sure if anyone else has had this problem but many of my K3 samples i load into M5 play in unusual ways...
the Grand Piano from Band>Acoustic Pianos plays back sounding almost like a guitar!
All of the Band>Horns play back sounding like there is a chorus filter on them, AND they play back a semi-tone lower!!
I'm sure that there are no effects active in M5, so can't figure out what this could be...
of course i posted to MOTU and they have now marked my mail as 'Resolved' !? This has been an issue since i bought
K3 in March.

Help anyone??
